DESCRIPTION: SDSU. (South Dakota F15 x Ewart). Trees are upright, medium in size and winter hardy. A good dessert pear. Medium in size, green-yellow to yellow. Skin thick but tender. Flesh yellowish, crisp, juicy and sweet. Blooms early May. Fruit matures the third week in September at Brookings, SD. Pollen-sterile, can not be used to pollinate a second pear tree.
