DESCRIPTION: This disease resistant cross by Dr. Dan Dayton, University of Illinois, has especially good foliage retention during summer. It blooms later than most crabs. The bark is a glossy dark red with numerous prominent lenticels, and the fruit does not drop. 1996 Iowa Tree of the Year.
