Developed by Peter Champion of England. Rich, amethyst blue blossoms, backed by sunny, yelow foliage adds interest to the border all season. The late flowering period make them valuable additions to any border. Bluebeard thrives in well-drained, loose soil and a sunny position. Since flowers occur on new growth, nothing is lost by vigorous pruning early in the season, otherwise little maintenance is required. Should be considered for massing in dry, sunny locations.
