This is one of the finest native perennials for today's landscape. The 2-3" flowers have a brown central cone surrounded by rosy-purple colored petals. Begins to flower in midsummer and continues until fall. Good cut flower. The leaves are 6-8" long and dark green. Tolerant of heat, drought, and wind. Native to the U.S. Prefers well-drained soil. Full sun.
