A hardy Forsythia introduced by the University of Minnesota in 1982 . It has produced a spectacular display of flowers following winter temperatures of -30∞F. The clear yellow flowers, 3/4" wide and 1" in length, appear before foliage in late April. A vigorous grower, it is adapted to a wide range of soils and has no serious pests. It is best planted in full sun to encourage free flowering. A MNRC introduction.
